Mary Buttolph

Mary has been a passionate photographer all her life. After a stint with the Forest Service studying salmon in the Pacific Northwest, she decided to switch careers and pursue the craft full time. Mary attended photography programs at RIT and then studied photojournalism at Syracuse University. Her education provided her a solid base of experiences on which to build a successful photography company, serving hundreds of clients in the eight years she has been in business. Mary has also had the opportunity to share her love for visual storytelling by teaching various courses at Newhouse at Syracuse University.

Mary is extremely proud of the business she has built but her greatest project is raising her three beautiful daughters, Charlotte, Suzanne, and Victoria Rose, alongside her husband, Lee, in their 200-year-old farmhouse. In her free time, you will find Mary clumsily skiing with the family, napping by the lake or whipping up a fabulous dinner that her kids almost never eat. She hopes to one day tame her yard well enough to have a huge garden and maybe a few chickens.
