We are excited to announce that Amanda Ducharme has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Skaneateles Education Foundation, effective March 1, 2025.

 

Amanda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organization. As a former 1st grade teacher in Darien,CT and a literacy specialist in Ellington, CT, Amanda has advocated for building strong home-school connections where educators, parents, and the community work together to maximize student learning. Her belief in the importance of this partnership is what originally drew Amanda to SEF.

 

Upon moving to Skaneateles, Amanda joined the SEF board of directors in 2022, quickly immersing herself within the organization. She successfully led the Fundraising & MarketingCommittee by planning and implementing SEF’s Toast to the Lakers fundraiser for two consecutive years. She has also played an important role in board member recruitment, seeking out community members who are deeply invested in the success of Skaneateles Central Schools.

 

Her strong leadership and organizational skills are an asset at SEF. With Amanda’s passion for education, deep knowledge of the organization and strong leadership skills, we are confident that she will succeed in her new role.
